The United States had been occupying and applying brutal sanctions to Iraq for several years by 1996 then re-invaded in 2003 to depose Hussein. The original U.S. invasion of Iraq was to uphold a tyrannic monarchy in Kuwait.

The problems caused by the war in Vietnam and the atomic bombing of Hiroshima didn’t magically disappear when the U.S. troops left. The consequences of everything pepe mentioned are being felt now, today.

Nor did we ever invade Kuwait- Iraq invaded Kuwait. We defended them.

And Vietnam was over for 20 years by then. World War 2, 50. China’s problems are happening now, today.
